Helping sponsor Research methodology workshop organized by Hugh MacPherson, July 2006, York, UK, this workshop led to the publication of the book: Acupuncture Research: Strategies for Building an Evidence Base, edited by MacPherson H, Hammerschlag R, Lewith G, Schnyer R, London, Elsevier, 2007.

Helping sponsor the TEAM-acupuncture research methodology workshop, January 2013, Oslo, Norway. Publication of position papers are expected following this workshop.

Developing the ‘International Committee for the Study of Traditional East Asian Medicine’ (ICSTEAM), a group that has drafted papers to help establish a coordinated research agenda for the field of TEAM-acupuncture and TEAM in general within Europe. Three papers have been crafted for this purpose, various meetings have been organized and plans laid to hook up the ICSTEAM agenda with European colleges of acupuncture such as the University College of Health Sciences – Campus Kristiania, Acupuncture department and European organizations such as the ‘European TCM Association’ (ETCMA).
